【摘要】爱国精神和反抗意识的封建官僚,其仕途生涯历任江西布政使、江西巡抚、浙江巡抚、四川总督等职。在不同的地域内和不同的职位上,刘秉璋针对实际情形因地、因时制宜,采取切实有效措施,对辖区内的民生、财政、吏治等项工作都进行了卓有成效的管理,同时对于外来侵略、民教冲突以及民族争端等问题也进行了坚决的抵制和恰当的处理,一定意义上维护了国家的主权和民族的利益,较好地完成了一个地方官僚的使命。本文以时间为顺序,着重对刘秉璋自同治元年(1862)加入淮军到光绪二十一年(1895)被参去职这三十余年间的军政生涯进行了考察研究,并对其中的重大事件提出了自己的看法。文章除在《绪论》部分对选题立意、学术史概况和全文要旨进行了简要交代外,主要分四大部分来具体考察,要点如下:第一部分:刘秉璋军政生涯的淮军时期。刘秉璋进士出身,在淮军的“平...

【外文摘要】Liu Bingzhang is an important figure of the late Qing Dynasty, which first manifested in the Huai Group. He is an important one. Liu Bingzhang is famous for suppressing the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom and repression Nian Army.
