【摘要】面阐述了洋务派实业教育实践:倡办实业教育机构、派遣游学、翻译西方近代科技书籍、对实业人才的重视;最后对洋务实业教育的特点、局限性和历史定位进行了客观评价。结论认为洋务实业教育在很大程度上实现了既定目标,完成了使命,总体上看是成功的,推动了中国教育近代化,并对中国近代社会变革产生了深远影响。洋务派是当时社会中的精英群体,他们在一定程度上促进了中国近代社会的发展。
