【摘要】战争爆发这段时期,中国文人出游西方所作的海外游记为研究对象,分析洋务时期海外游记与西学东渐的关系。首先对洋务时期中国文人在西方的出游情况做简单介绍,重点考察海外游记中中国文人对西方政治、经济、社会、教育、科技以及军事情况的考察和思考。并分析这些游记中的记载对西学东渐的推动作用。最后分析洋务时期海外游记的局限性从而得到一定的启迪和思考。本文还通过洋务时期海外游记特别研究了当时的出游者看到的中日学习西方的对比情况,通过当事者笔下分析来探讨中日在近代化进程中的差距。通过分析我们可以确定,虽然洋务时期中国还没有形成大规模的留学和境外游历活动,但是由于之前西学的输入主要依靠西方传教士,相比之下,中国人自己笔下的西方世界更容易让当时的国人接受和相信,这些游记对西学东渐是有促进作用的,但是由于出游者自身的阶级和认识局限性以及...
